I have a B.S. degree in Wildlife Biology from Arizona State University. I have been the Director of the Adopt-A-Stream program under the Mississippi Wildlife Federation since 2006. I teach about the importance of clean streams/rivers and reducing non-point source pollution through teacher workshops, classroom/camp programs and Field Days.
I am Chairman of the Mississippi Environmental Education Alliance (MEEA) and helped established it as a MS Charity, a 501c(3) and an affiliate of SEEA and NAAEE. I am on the board of Keep the Rez Beautiful and Envirothon. I am Chair for SEEA. I am on committees with NAAEE. In 2020 I received the Informal Educator of the year from MS Science Teachers Assoc and a 2024 Envirothon Special Recognition Award from the MS Assoc. of Conservation Districts.
Previously I worked for the Fish and Wildlife Service as a Wildlife Inspector and Department of Agriculture as a Plant Protection and Quarantine Officer.
