About me
Hadiya is the Vice President of Guest Experience and Education at the Mississippi Aquarium. She brings a wealth of experience as an interpreter and informal educator. Hadiya began her career working with the National Park Service in their Interpretation division. She then moved on to work as a research ecologist. Eventually, she realized her true joy came from instilling the love of nature in the next generation of stewards. Hadiya returned to the field of environmental education working as a naturalist, before receiving the opportunity to work with educators and their students as an education programs coordinator. Today she works with her team to develop innovative programming using a multi-faceted interpretive approach, to share the incredible stories of Mississippi’s aquatic habitats and animals found from the Delta to the Gulf Coast and beyond.
